Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: The best way to book your cottage is online. You will save some money by doing so. You may also book over the phone; however, there is a reservation fee of $10.00 when booking this way. Our website handles all reservation transactions; we process all credit card transactions in a secure environment.
Q: How can I pay?
A: We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, debit cards and cash. We accept personal cheques in advance for deposits.
Q: What time is check in?
A: Check in time is from 3:00-5:00 PM. Please let us know if you are unable to check in at this time and we will make arrangements for you to get access to your cottage.
Q: How many people can we have in each cottage?
A: There is a maximum of 4 adults per cottage.
Q: What time is check out?
A: Check out is 11:00 AM.
Q: Are the cottages smoking or non-smoking?
A. All cottages are non-smoking.
Q: Can we bring pets?
A. Unfortunately, Seaside Cottages no longer allows pets. No exceptions will be made.
Q: How old do I need to be to rent a cottage?
A: All guests must be 25 or older unless accompanied by a parent. Seaside Cottages is a family-friendly facility. Seaside Cottages will not tolerate any loud or disruptive behavior on the property.
Q: I have friends or family that will be visiting during our stay at Seaside Cottages where can they park?
A: Each cottage has parking for a maximum of two cars.
Q: Do the cottages have internet access?
A: All cottages have high-speed wireless internet access.
Q: Are washers and driers available?
A: Yes, there is a laundry room available to guests from 3pm to 6pm M-F.
Q: Are campfires allowed on the property?
A: Yes, campfires are allowed on the beach.
Q: Where can I get firewood?
A: We recommend that you bring your own firewood or you can purchase it at several locations in Shelburne including Sobeys or gas stations.
Q: Are fireworks allowed on the property?
A: No. Seaside Cottages does not allow fireworks on the property.
Q: What’s in the kitchen?
A: All of our cottages have a full refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, coffee pot, coffee filters, toaster, pots and pans, cork screw, can opener, ice trays and lobster pot. We also provide cooking utensils, dishes, silverware and glassware (set of 6 per cottage).
Q: Are linens and towels provided?
A: Seaside cottages provides Egyptian Cotton sheets and down comforters with duvets on all beds. Bath, hand and face towels are provided. Kitchen sponges and dish towels are provided.

Q: Where is the nearest grocery Store?
A: The nearest store is Lockeport Town Market. You can get there by walking the mile-long sandy beach into town or by driving. Town Market has a good selection of food and general needs.
Q: Where is the closest large grocery store?
A: There is a Sobey's grocery store in Shelburne.
Q. Where is the closest liquor store?
A. The closest NSLC is right in Lockeport.
Q: Where is the nearest Tim Horton's?
There is a Tim Horton's in Shelburne right off Highway 103, exit 25.
Q: Does the cottage have Cable?
A: Yes, all cottages have Cable TV.
Q: Does the cottage have a DVD player?
A: Yes, all cottages have DVD players.
Q: Where can I rent DVD movies?
A: You can rent DVD movies at Town Market in Lockeport or at the Lockeport Pharmacy.
Q: Do the cottages have an alarm clock?
A: Yes, all cottages have alarm clocks.
Q: Do the cottages have hair dryers?
A: Yes, all cottages have hair dryers.
Q: What is your physical address?

Q: Can we use Map Quest or our GPS unit?
A: Please don't! They don't seem to know how to find us! If you want to use Map Quest or other GPS software for basic highway directions for getting to Lockeport, you should have no problem; however, please use the directions we provide online for exact directions.
Q: What is there to do at Seaside Cottages?
A: Most people come to Seaside Cottages to unwind and relax next to the beautiful unspoiled Atlantic Ocean Beach. Things you can do on the property include walking along the mile-long sandy beach, swimming, collecting shells and sand dollars, collecting sea glass, picking blueberries in season, bird watching from your front porch or at our bird sanctuary, playing horse shoes, BBQ-ing, picnicking or building a campfire on the beach.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: All of our cottages provide linens, paper products and fully equipped kitchens, so you will only need to bring your personal belongings, toiletries, beach towels, beach chairs and food.
